Rules for using Ophtha Club, accounts, applications and announcement submissions.
Effective and updated 1 October 2026Ophtha Club is an ophthalmology announcement and opportunity platform operated by Sultan Abdulrahman Alhassan in Saudi Arabia. These Terms apply to use of the website, accounts, submissions, applications and related Ophtha Club services.
Creating an Ophtha Club account requires affirmative acceptance of these Terms and acknowledgement of the Privacy Policy. An account cannot be created without that acceptance. We record the applicable Terms and Privacy Policy version and the time of acceptance so the agreement can be verified later. You must provide accurate registration information, including your current region, current city, university, professional role and a valid WhatsApp phone number, keep your credentials secure, and not impersonate another person or organization.
Some opportunities allow you to submit an application directly through Ophtha Club. Before submitting, you must review the prefilled account information, provide accurate application details, and separately acknowledge the use of the application data described in the Privacy Policy. A specific opportunity may require a National/Iqama ID, relevant experience, activity-specific answers, attendance or eligibility information, and supporting files. You confirm that information and files you submit are accurate, belong to you or are information you are authorized to provide, and are appropriate for the relevant application. Do not upload unrelated sensitive, confidential, patient-identifying or unlawful material. Submission does not guarantee acceptance, selection, attendance, employment, training or any other outcome. Authorized Ophtha Club administrators may review the application and its supporting files, update its status, export the applicant list for legitimate administration and contact you about the opportunity.
When an announcement uses an organizer or third-party registration page, Ophtha Club only provides the link and does not control that external application process. You are responsible for reviewing the external site's terms, privacy notice, eligibility rules and submission requirements before providing information there.
A valid WhatsApp phone number is required for account registration, but optional email updates and optional WhatsApp updates remain separate communication choices. Choosing No for WhatsApp updates does not prevent account creation. Ophtha Club may still send essential account, verification, security, moderation, application and service messages needed to operate the service or process a request you made. Where you consent to optional updates, you can later unsubscribe or withdraw that choice through the available controls or message instructions.
Ophtha Club organizes professional announcements and opportunities. It does not provide clinical care, diagnosis or medical advice. Do not use the platform for patient records, confidential clinical material or urgent medical needs.
We aim to preserve source information and use human review before publication, but dates, eligibility, fees, availability and other details can change. Always verify time-sensitive details with the linked official source or organizer before acting. Publication on Ophtha Club does not by itself mean endorsement by the named institution.
When you submit text, links, posters, images or documents, you confirm that you have the right or permission to share them for review and publication and that they do not contain patient-identifying, confidential or unlawfully disclosed material. You give Ophtha Club non-exclusive permission to store, reproduce and display submitted material only as reasonably needed to review, publish, explain and maintain the relevant announcement. Ownership remains with the respective rights holder.
WhatsApp submissions may be checked for exact duplicates, stored temporarily, sent to the designated Ophtha Club review mailbox and reviewed by a human before publication. Temporary WhatsApp intake images and documents stored in Ophtha Club's Supabase storage are automatically deleted after seven days. Copies delivered to the review mailbox may remain there under that mailbox's retention practices. Material intentionally published on the website may be retained as needed to maintain the published announcement.
Third-party posters, logos and source materials may be shown to identify or document an announcement. Ophtha Club does not claim ownership of them. Rights holders can report a copyright or permission concern using Report a problem or the contact address below. We may remove or restrict material while a concern is reviewed.
Do not submit unlawful, deceptive, abusive, malicious, infringing or irrelevant content; provide false identity or application information; attempt unauthorized access; interfere with security or availability; scrape or overload the service in a harmful way; or use the service to send spam or unsolicited marketing.
Ophtha Club may edit announcement content for clarity, reject, unpublish, merge duplicates or remove content when needed for accuracy, safety, rights protection or platform integrity. Automated or AI-assisted processing may help classify or structure an announcement submission, but it cannot publish an announcement by itself. If automated processing fails, a submission may still proceed to human review. Applicant selection for Ophtha Club-managed opportunities is not delegated to this announcement-extraction automation.
Registration pages, calendar services, WhatsApp and other external destinations are operated by third parties under their own terms and privacy practices. Ophtha Club is not responsible for their availability, transactions or independent processing.
Ophtha Club currently does not sell goods or paid services and does not take payments through the platform, so there is currently no purchase or refund process. If paid features are introduced, the applicable price, payment, cancellation and refund terms will be presented before payment and the required consumer policies will be published before launch.
The service is provided on an as-available basis. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Ophtha Club is not responsible for losses caused by reliance on outdated third-party announcement details, external websites, organizer cancellations or interruptions outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
We may update these Terms as the service changes. The date below identifies the current version. These Terms are governed by the applicable laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, without limiting any mandatory rights that apply to you.
